  The Stakeholders

This project focuses on local community participation. As such, the stakeholders here involve the residents and shopowners who live and work in this area. The relevant community groups that have been identified so far are:

  • Desa Mentari 
  • Desaria
  • Kg. Lindungan 
  • Wakil Komuniti SS3
  • Wakil Komuniti SS9
  • Jabatan Perpaduan Negara dan Integrasi Nasional
  • Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) & Local Agenda 21 
  • Department of Environment (DOE)
  • Department of Irrigation and Drainage Selangor (DID - Project Secretariat)
  • Department of Fisheries (DOF) 
  • Lembaga Urus Air Selangor (LUAS)
  • Circle Field Sdn Bhd

The involvement from all these stakeholders will be important if this project is to succeed and achieve its objectives. GEC will try to involve all relevant stakeholders in related activities throughout the project and this will help to demonstrate that participation from all 3 sectors – public, government and private – is necessary for success. The support also being provided to the W.A.T.E.R Project by the Council Member of MBPJ - Zone 4 PJ Selatan.

W.A.T.E.R Project also have established a Technical Committee to oversee the whole project progress implementation. The technical committee members comprises of all representative from respective government agency, none government, private sector and local community. Below is the PSC structure for W.A.T.E.R Project:
