Get trained!

GEC is always more than happy to train anyone who would like to save our rivers!

GEC takes the lead in educating communities and schools through their environment education programmes – SMART (Start Managing All Resources Today) Ranger and RIVER Ranger. Under the RIVER Ranger Program, the people are given the knowledge, skill and responsibility to carry out water quality monitoring at their local rivers and to report their findings and any illegal activities to the relevant authorities. It is with this, that communities begin to take ownership and change their lifestyle to reduce the negative impacts on their river.

If you or your school/organization are interested in our RIVER Ranger Programme or SMART Ranger Programme, please drop us an email or give us a call! We'd be delighted to discuss training options with you. Check out the following two websites: River Ranger (www.RiverRanger.my) & SMART Ranger ( www.SmartRanger.net)

Volunteers!

If you're interested in learning about rivers and getting trained under our RIVER Ranger Programme, then contact us! We'll train you and when we go out in the field, we'll give you a call so that you can come along to help!

Corporate Events

If your company or organisation has a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme why not combine community work with the environment?

We have experience working with numerous corporate bodies involving the staff, community and environment. Some of the activities we have conducted are: creation of a wetland cell, tree-planting, bio-monitoring, creation of fish habitats, pollution mapping, clean-ups and environmental games.

Our events involve hard work on the ground, but are fun and give social and environmental value to all those involved. If you would like to find out more, or would like to know what we can do for you for an upcoming event of yours, please don't hesitate to contact us!Global Environment Centre (GEC)
