  River Care Education Centre (RCEC)

WHAT IS RCEC ?

The first community RIVER Ranger Resource Centre (RCEC) in Perak was launched in-conjunction with the World Environment Day on 9th June 2015.

RCEC is the one stop learning centre under the W.A.T.E.R Project for local communities of Sungai Kinta to care for three tributaries - Sungai Senam, Sungai Buntong and Sungai Kledang.

The centre is equipped with tools and resources to enable the community to conduct education programmes on river rehabilitation and water conservation as well as to conduct water quality testing.

The resource centre in addition to river education and monitoring also emphasize on systematic waste management programme as recycling, rain water harvesting and composting as well as organic gardening.
