Outreaching Everyone to Care for Rivers

With the success of W.A.T.E.R Project, GAB Foundation has taken another step to strengthen its commitment towards the environment by launching a Mobile River Care Unit (MRCU). The objective of the MRCU was to conduct mobile education program for schools, community and public.

The motto of MRCU is ‘Now Everyone Can Learn’. If you can’t reach us we will ensure to reach you’. In line with this motto, roadshows were carried out to create public awareness on the river care and to teach the simple steps on what the public can do to save the environment.

The MRCU is a full size van. It is equipped with a mobile exhibition booth. The booth can be set up at any given location and contains informative panels on the W.A.T.E.R Project. The booth can accommodate up to 30 seated participants for a presentation on urban river presentation. A mini lab is also available at the booth, which equipped with water quality testing kit, aquatic insect specimens, and microscope, for the public to inspect river water quality. The MRCU is also equipped with a video game console, providing the chance for public to try their skill on the specially designed river conservation games.
