A River Care Education Centre (RCEC) has been established by GAB Foundation and GEC together with JPS Selangor in 2009 in Desa Mentari for the Sungai Way community. The centre is part of the W.A.T.E.R Project which acts as a one-stop resource centre for everyone to learn more about water and rivers. The RCEC in Desa Mentari is currently maintained and operated by the Sahabat Komuniti Sungai Sungei Way. The local community was given a privilege to utilise its facilities for their benefit. The centre is also open to students and public who wish to utilise it as a resource centre for river rehabilitation research.
