After participating in the WATER Project for 3 years and undergone various training and capacity builidng programme organised by GEC and GAB Foundation, the local community of Sungei Way is now ready for their next challenges. Establishing their own committee structure and well organise active working group is the initial step taken by one of its committed members to become the only CBOs in Desa Mentari actively promoting the river and enviromental programme in the area. Currently the Komuniti Sungai Sungei Way actively involve in the W.A.T.E.R Project and have received a recognition from MBPJ and JPS Selangor for their inititative and commitment to conserve the river (Sg Way) and environment. The local community of Sg Way members was represented by 3 Desa's (Desa Mentari, Desa Ria and Kg Lindungan). Their community center is located at Sg Way Jln Pjs3/6 and soon will be operating from new cabin at Jln PJS5 Taman Desa Ria.
